Tags can be attached to unwrapped, lacquered furniture surfaces and later removed without leaving any adhesive residue.
That is why tags have been used in the moving industry for more than a hundred years and have become a true symbol of the mover’s profession.
They require no special printer.
A bundle of tag rolls is always in a packer’s bag — alongside paper forms, Japanese knives, tape dispensers, and marker sets.
They are familiar, reliable, and time-tested.
Voxme Digital Inventory on the Bingo portal can be configured to work with tag-based labeling as well.
To our surprise, a noticeable number of users continue to rely on tags, even with the option to print individual barcode labels with company logos.
This is despite the well-known limitations of tags:
they do not adhere well to modern packing materials such as cardboard and air-cushion plastic.
Lost tags stuck to movers’ sweaters or to the sides of a truck are a classic cause of confusion and disputes during inventory sign-off at delivery.
Over time, both our users and we ourselves came to appreciate the value of flexibility.
The ability to use different labeling methods within a single digital inventory proved to be more important than enforcing one “correct” approach.
Practice has shown that:
This multi-option use of the Bingo portal’s components reflects real-world workflows and the different habits formed across companies.
As noted by the founder of judo, Jigoro Kano:
under the weight of wet snow, thick branches break,
while thin and flexible ones bend, shed the snow under their own weight,
and then straighten again.
