Imagine the scene: a 5 man crew was packing all day an international military job. The packout takes place at a compound. A foreman numbers each piece, add content in the inventory app and when the count reaches 280, just when the packing list is ready and the container is loaded, the app crashes and the inventory gets wiped. And now the foreman is about to unload the container, write the inventory all over again in hope that it won’t disappear again.
It’s easy to imagine the choice words addressed to the vendor of this software for military movers as well as the management who chose to use it. One can dwell on lots of real life scenarios where the push to use an unreliable, slow and cumbersome app forces the packers to refuse to it, often times in a form of a hard ultimatum.
All the more respect and trust goes to Voxme Digital Inventory which is being used by the crews of the leading military movers around the world over 20 years. What used to prevent the app’s use in a domestic market was the need to purchase app licenses for each crew’s device for $600. There’s not that many military moving companies that have found it economically viable to license hundreds of their own and subcontractors’ devices.
The new Voxme Bingo Portal, delivered thanks to the modern cloud technologies, allowed to clear the hurdle of economical affordability and practicality of the Inventory app for virtually any military moving company.
By paying $300 for the annual license, clients are billed $3 for completed inventories. This payment scheme removes any constraints on the number of devices. A foreman or a subcontractor is sent a link to their device, which is used to download Voxme Inventory B and a single job. Once the inventory is completed, the user gets a PDF report which can be shared with the transferee (client) over email or WhatsApp or any other messenger and be uploaded back to the job booker’s portal where it can be found by the job number long time after, once the need arises.
Around 3 years ago US DOD have tried to force all military movers implement digital inventory. It resulted in a plethora of discussions and webinars that Voxme has taken a part of. Sweet references and compliments vanished by credible representatives of our clients, we’ve reached the following sweeping conclusions.
End users have universally demanded a simple and reliable driver inventory app.
Straightforward and lowest possible price point was part of a requirement.
All the while the would be global digital inventory system vendors avoided simple billing structures and offered the app as part of their complicated and expensive CRMs.
This is what has led us to the decision to develop the Bingo Portal and address the above real field requirements. Ever since hundreds of movers have gained access to the reliable and proven Voxme Inventory app which allows to create a packing inventory for all types of moves - from domestic to international, from long distance to military.
The clients have come to appreciate the fact that rolling out Voxme solution doesn’t imply replacing their existing moving software CRM (be it SmartMoving or Moveware etc), but rather serves as a useful add-on that improves the overall quality and reliability of the business process.
