Voxme is celebrating 22 years

May 23rd marks 22 years since we’ve founded Voxme Software Inc back in 2003. I was still in hi-tech, involved in developing large systems to distribute content to the nascent mobile smartphones market, working with the likes of Ericsson Mobility, Telefonica and AT&T. It was cute, took care of the financial health of my family, but didn’t feel like a good use of technology.

And along comes my brother and convinces me that mobile apps are adequate for moving professionals like himself – small, brave and not exactly tech savvy (which didn’t stop him from buying a Palm Pilot). I guess he was persuasive enough in his belief that we can make a difference for his startup first and then for the moving industry.With the endless patience and support of my family and a lot of coffee consumed around the world, that belief took root. I must say that the scene of printing a packing list from a Palm Pilot over infrared to a mobile Canon printer is still vivid.

Today, I’m reflecting with deep gratitude on the path and the people that I was privileged to share it with. Most of them are still with us, which I oftentimes find amazing and rather unbelievable. There are way too many milestones to list, but the most important evolution is this – we’ve managed to make our tried and true solutions affordable and available to everybody in the moving industry. I am proud to say that Voxme has grown steadily every year. We never aimed to be the biggest or the loudest, just the best at what we do.  None of this would have been possible without our employees, our customers, our partners, and my family. Thank you all for being a part of our story. The road goes ever on an on.
